Worship at the WellSample

My heart was heavy. The burdens of life in front of me were as real as my wife and kids. At dinner, I told my kids, “Daddy can’t play. I need time to go and meet with Jesus”. The grandeur of those words had become a mere phrase, and the reality of the act, if we’re honest, is at times lost in its duty. The moment those words left my mouth, my six-year-old daughter immediately sprang up in action to dress herself to “meet with Jesus”. She quickly asked with such excitement that is common in all kids, “I want to come! I want to come and meet with Jesus!” I was checked by her seriousness and the reality of those words sank in with freshness as I was reminded by my young daughter, indeed I was to meet with Jesus and He with me.
