Break Trail

DAY 5 OF 30

[IMAGE CONTENT] It's fair to say each of us has had someone in our lives who gave up on us at some point. Maybe we felt the rejection when we were cut from a team, a teacher left our school, or felt the sting from that special someone when they told us they weren't interested in dating. All of this makes it hard to try one more time. So we go in a shell and build a wall around us to protect ourselves. The rejection feels overwhelming and can make us feel as if we're not good enough. But Paul, who led a bunch of churches, reminded the listeners of his letters that when we couldn't offer anything, God was cheering us on. Even if we don't know that Jesus loves us, he died for the mistakes we would make. When we have nothing to offer or even make mistakes, we can feel useless, or broken. Sometimes, at its darkest, these feelings can bring a lack of purpose. Why am I here? But we are actually never alone or useless. Why? Because God is always rooting for the lost and broken. Have you ever felt too far gone?
