All Change (Week 5)

Devotional

Day Four - I Can Grow to Be Like Jesus

READ:

‘Jonah and the Big Fish’ in a Children’s Bible or Jonah 1:1 - 3:10.

Did you know that Jesus always did as God asked Him, even when it was hard?

Read Luke 22:42 (ICB) - Jesus knew that what was going to happen to him would be hard, so he asked God to change what was going to happen.

But Jesus also prays and says to God, ‘But do what you want, not what I want’.

ASK:

Are there any things that you find hard that you can pray and ask God to help you with?

We can always do what God asks us to do, things like:

Always love God and others, always tell the truth, always be kind.

When it feels hard to do these things, we can ask God to help us.

REMEMBER:

Look at the new thing I am going to do.

It is already happening. Don’t you see it?

I will make a road in the desert.

I will make rivers in the dry land. (Isaiah 43:19)

SAY:

Thank you, Lord, that you have created us all unique and wonderful.

Help us to love you and everyone you have placed in our lives and

to become more like you every day - in Jesus name - Amen.
