### University – The Legacy Throughout history students have spoken up, rallied, prayed, wept and worked to see God’s Kingdom come in their friendships, communities and the wider world. Everything that God gives us is there to be used to glorify Him and be a blessing to others – like Abraham we are blessed to be a blessing. When we think of legacy, we often think of people like Nelson Mandela, celebrated people with world-changing legacies who over 95 years made a huge difference. However, we all leave legacies that have impacted the world we have lived in for better or for worse. Christian students have an opportunity to leave a Kingdom legacy at university that others will benefit from and be blessed through. You are created for good works and there will be times at university when your friends will be in need. They may be suffering, confused, in need of encouragement or insight. As Christians, we have access to a God who wants to bless people and can offer to help in ways no one else can. We can pray for healing or comfort, ask God what we should say or do, or even pray for massive situations to change. We can ask God to step into any situation. You may be surprised how many people are willing, even eager, to discuss the meaning of life, who Jesus is and why you believe in God. They often want to explore their own personal questions like 'who am I? What is my purpose in life? and Am I lovable? Most students these days have grown up with little or no understanding of the gospel and every year students are coming to know Jesus through conversations with friends and housemates. God is looking for people like you to be his representatives in the student world. A great adventure awaits and a great God is with you. God is commissioning you to go and make disciples and promises to be with you. Questions What do you think your legacy has been so far? What would you like it to be by the end of your time at university? Pray Father God, I want to be involved in seeing your kingdom come in the halls, bars, clubs and lecture theatres and participate in your will being done in the student world as it is in heaven.
