Day 20 – Searching for the lost 

Reflect

Shepherds usually fed their flocks in the same regional pastures. When the shepherd went in search of the one lost sheep, he didn’t entirely abandon the 99 but knew that they would be safe with other shepherds and flocks near-by. His search would take him to out of the way places - crevices and pits where a sheep might fall and be trapped, unable to free itself. Life is like this and people are like this. Some have strayed from the path and now they find they are in trouble.

Lord, remind me of that friend or family member who I haven’t heard from in a while. Impress upon my heart what it is I should do to reach out to them. Lord, I am available to so in search of any lost sheep your Spirit directs me to.
