Praying With Assurance: Keys to Profit and Progress

THE DEVIL FEARS A BELIEVER WITH CONFIDENCE

The devil does not fear long prayers; he fears confident prayers. He knows that when a believer approaches God with confidence, heaven will move and his schemes will collapse. 1 John 5:14 says, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.” That is the secret: confidence makes you certain that God hears you. If God hears, then answers must follow. This is why Satan fights your confidence before he fights your prayer. He would rather you come to God timid, unsure, and apologetic, because such prayers lack force in the spirit.

Confidence does not come from positive thinking—it comes from knowing God’s Word and trusting His faithfulness. Paul declared in Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” That is not guesswork; it is settled assurance. The devil trembles when you pray with that kind of confidence because he knows you will not back down until the answer manifests. A man with confidence is dangerous to hell; he cannot be silenced, intimidated, or confused. He prays once and holds his ground, thanking God until the manifestation comes.

I want you to take a firm decision today: stop praying like a victim and start praying like a victor. Step into the place of prayer with bold assurance that God is on your side. Speak His Word back to Him without fear. When doubts rise, confront them with Scripture. When delay comes, remind yourself that God is faithful and cannot lie. Do not let the devil rob you of the one thing he fears most—your confidence. If you maintain it before, during, and after prayer, you will always return with answers in your hand.

THOUGHT TO PONDER:
Have I been praying timidly, or with bold confidence that God hears me? What steps will I take to maintain confidence until my answers show up?

PRAYER:
Father, I refuse to pray like a victim. Fill me with unshakable confidence in Your Word, and let my prayers carry the force that hell cannot resist, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
