Year of the Bible: Part Nine of TwelvePrzykład

The Holy Spirit Comes For Spirit-filled believers, today's scripture is a hallmark event. God's church was birthed on this day with the powerful coming of God's Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came as a mighty wind, much like He came when he filled Solomon's temple with His presence. He came to empower believers to proclaim God's mighty works in every nation's language. God has filled His witnesses with His Presence, and they will accomplish His plan to fill the earth with the good news that Jesus has conquered sin, satan, and death. The Holy Spirit empowers each of us to be a witness for Jesus. Note Jesus' words: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth" (Acts 1:8). We are called first to be with Jesus. The power of the Holy Spirit confirms the words of Jesus, the person of Jesus, the reason for Jesus in our lives. As those truths are lived out, our changed lives demonstrate to those around us the profound change that only God can bring. Then, we can accomplish the will of God in the unique ministry He has prepared for each of us. Question: How easy is it for you to simply be with Jesus? What is the unique ministry God has equipped for you to be so that you may declare God's mighty works in the power of the Holy Spirit? Prayer: Experience God's presence by silently spending time with Jesus this week. Listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit as He speaks to you of the love Jesus has for you. Ask God what plan He has equipped you to accomplish. Write what you hear and share it with a trusted friend or mentor. Allow them to confirm that you have truly heard from God.
