People were ready to judge and say her gift was a waste, and she could have spent the money anywhere or everywhere else. She knew who was worth it and where to show value. She knew how Jesus loved and valued her and felt safe and secure to express that back to Him. In verse 7:47, Jesus called what Mary gave Him an act of “great love.” May we show Jesus, we love Him, unashamedly, whole-heartedly, and sacrificially. May we give Him our best in a season of singleness and bask in His love, His grace, and tenderness to us.
