# Is anxiety great within you? 😣 As the Coronavirus pandemic sweeps the world, it’s imperative that we experience the presence of the Lord in the midst of this storm. We need His supernatural help, His answers, His direction, and His peace. Through social distancing and perhaps spending more time away from normal activities and other people, you may experience a strange type of loneliness and disconnection. This can even create agitation and anxiety, which steal your peace and well-being. It’s as if you’re struggling against an invisible enemy and living in a strange atmosphere of tension and uncertainty. The psalmist cried out to the Lord, saying, “When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” (Psalm 94:18-19 NIV) (Emphasis added) “When anxiety was great within me” - Do negative thoughts sometimes rush through your mind? Are you losing sleep at night worrying about the chaos in the world right now and what the future holds? Are you examining problems every which way but still not finding solutions? Here’s an incredible promise that God makes to you, His child: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7) In Greek, “cast” means to “throw upon.” My friend, you can draw near to God just as you are, no matter the state you find yourself in. Whether you painfully and with great effort cast your anxieties at His feet, bring them to Him at arm’s length, or throw them upon Him, know this: God receives them! Come to Him with your anxieties because He cares for you. He has the solution to your problems because He Himself is the solution. A heart filled with peace in place of a heart filled with anxiety: that’s the exchange the Lord is proposing to you. Glory to God! Today, I invite you to draw near to God just as you are, sincerely trust Him with your anxieties, and ask Him for His peace and wisdom instead. Let’s pray together… “Lord, I don’t want the world’s anxiety to be great within me any longer! I cast everything upon You, including all my worries revolving around the Coronavirus. I lay them all down at Your feet. I release everything into Your hands. Thank You for the peace and wisdom that I’m receiving right now from You. Thank You for upholding me with Your kind presence.
