How do we know that people have not changed the words of Scripture over the years?
That is a valid question. You would think that changing the Bible to fit something that the authors wanted it to say, would have been easy for someone to do. However, God Himself promised in Psalm 12:7 that He would supernaturally make sure that His Word would continue to exist without being changed for the rest of time.
In Matthew 24:35, Jesus Christ Himself promises that His Word would continue to exist from that point forward. This truth about the Bible being protected by God is often referred to as “Preservation of the Scriptures.” As Bible-believers, we can rest assured that the Bible we have today is, in fact, the very words of God and that these words have stayed the same through the years and through language translations.
Because God promised to preserve the Bible, we can have complete confidence that the words contained within its pages are God’s actual words for us to follow and build our lives on!
Take a few minutes right now to thank God for supernaturally preserving His Word and making it available for you to read today!
