How does God protect His Word in our day and age?
We know God’s Word is truth. In 1 Timothy 3:15, God tells us that the church is the “pillar and ground of truth.” The ground represents a foundation, and the pillars represent the support for a building. This verse then tells us that the local New Testament church is the foundation and support system God has chosen to hold up the truth of His Word! This protection not only means proclaiming the Gospel correctly, but it also means protecting God’s Words from being altered or misinterpreted by man.
In New Testament times, God has chosen to use the church to protect His message for generations to come!
