Day 9 – The Weight of the Call

Gabriel’s announcement was both miraculous and overwhelming. Mary would bear the Son of the Most High a task filled with joy and cost. Obedience to God’s call often carries both.

Advent teaches us that joy and sorrow can coexist. Mary’s “yes” made room for salvation, but it also made room for misunderstanding and loss. True joy is not the absence of pain; it is the presence of God in the midst of it.

Kingdom Quality: Unhurried Friend – Creating space for both joy and grief in God’s presence.

Prayer: Jesus, give me courage to embrace the call that costs me something.
