Day 1 – When the Silence Is Too Long

Zechariah and Elizabeth were faithful people living in a long silence. They obeyed God, served in the temple, and prayed, yet their deepest longing went unanswered. Advent begins here: with disappointment, delay, and the temptation to stop hoping.

God’s silence is not his absence. Zechariah’s story reminds us that waiting seasons are often the soil where faith matures. When God seems still, he is often at work in hidden ways. The unanswered prayer may be the very place he intends to show his faithfulness.
