Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea (Isaiah 48:18 NKJV).
Are you obeying God’s commandments and fulfilling your God-given role?
God delights in our obedience and longs for loyal children. When we love Him, we keep His commandments, and they become a source of joy rather than burden (see 1 John 5:3). Each of us has been entrusted with a unique ministry to fulfill. Just as Paul encouraged Archippus to complete his work in Colossians chapter 4, we are to take heed to please our God by keeping His commandments and faithfully serving Him.
Are you faithfully walking in the role God has given you? Do you find yourself straying from your tasks like a distracted child, or do you stay focused and alert? Let’s strive to live in a way that pleases Him, knowing that He empowers us to serve faithfully. Embrace the ministry God has given you with joy and commitment.
Employment Point: Serve Jesus and make your heart His home.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
