Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10 NKJV).
Whom do you trust for protection from your enemies?
When confronted with the threat of the Assyrians in Isaiah 30, Israel desired help from Egypt instead of turning to God. They placed their trust in the physical rather than the spiritual.
Are you relying on human solutions for your spiritual battles? Paul reminds the church in Ephesians 6 that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. Paul, an experienced combatant, commands, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11 NKJV).
What are you trusting in today—your own strength or God's? Choose to trust in God's protection over human alliances. Arm yourself with His truth and righteousness.
Employment Point: Dress for spiritual success by putting on the whole armor of God.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
