Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15 NKJV).
Is your heart aligned with God’s heart?
Paul sought to lead Agrippa to Jesus, but Agrippa replied, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian” (Acts 26:28 NKJV). Paul’s heart mirrored Jesus’, desiring all to come to faith. He said, “I would to God that not only you, but also all who hear me today, might become both almost and altogether such as I am” (Acts 26:29 NKJV).
The psalmist also understands the value of souls, saying, “For the redemption of their souls is costly” (Psalm 49:8 NKJV). Jesus emphasized this in Mark 8:36 (NKJV), asking, “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Let’s align our hearts with Jesus, who came to “seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10 NKJV).
Employment Point: Align your heart with Jesus’ by seeking to reach the lost.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
