Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

And the Scripture cannot be broken (John 10:35 NKJV).
Do you honor Jesus by understanding Old Testament prophecies that point to Him as the Messiah?
In our devotions, Jesus confronted the unbelieving Jews with two “if” statements. The first “if” assumes the statement to be false. Jesus says, “For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me” (John 5:46 NKJV). In essence, if they truly believed Moses and his writings (which they didn’t), they would have believed Jesus. Jesus exposes their unbelief. Then, Jesus presents a first-class condition, assuming the statement to be true: “But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” (John 5:47 NKJV). Since they hadn’t trusted Moses’ writings, they wouldn’t believe Jesus’ words either.
How well do you know Old Testament prophecy? Could you use it to demonstrate that Jesus is the Messiah? Let's commit to honoring Jesus by studying the prophecies that point to His life and mission.
Employment Point: Honor Jesus by believing the prophecies that point to Him.
