Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

The Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son (John 5:22 NKJV).
Are you ready and prepared to stand before Jesus?
In today’s reading, the Jewish leaders understood Jesus’ claim that He was equal with God. John writes, “Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath [John 5:1–16], but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God” (John 5:18 NKJV). They understood what Jesus was saying. However, they were foolish and rejected Him. John also added, “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son” (John 5:22 NKJV).
One day, all people will stand before Jesus and give an account. Let’s not make the same mistake the Jewish leadership made. Let’s walk with Jesus now and be ready to stand before Him in the future.
Employment Point: Please God daily to prepare to meet Jesus.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
