Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples (John 6:11 NKJV).
How did Jesus provide for and protect His disciples, and what implications does that have for us today?
In John 6, Jesus provided for His disciples in feeding the 5,000, ensuring everyone was thoroughly fed with an abundance (John 6:11). Yet, when the crowd wanted to make Him king by force, Jesus protected His disciples by sending them away from the crowd.
As the narrative continues, the disciples find themselves in the midst of a deadly storm, and Jesus reveals Himself to them and protects them. So, how is Jesus providing and protecting His followers today? Think about moments when Jesus shielded you from harm or fear. Maybe it was through a sudden sense of peace in a difficult situation, or unexpected provision when facing a need. Jesus has not changed, and He will always be there for those who partner with Him in glorifying God.
Employment Point: Glorify God through your partnership with Jesus.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
