The Word Is Lifeਨਮੂਨਾ

The Word That Sustains
This verse reminds me of my dear grandfather, always walking with his cane. It wasn’t just an object; it was a faithful walking companion. It supported him step by step, especially through the harder paths. Without that cane, he would’ve struggled to move forward.
In the same way, we nourish ourselves daily to keep our bodies alive. No one can survive long without food. It’s a constant, daily, simple, yet essential need. And yet, we often forget that our soul is hungry too, hungry for meaning, for truth, for the presence of God.
The Word of God is that cane for the soul, that bread that nourishes, that strength that holds us up when everything seems to fall apart. In a world overflowing with material abundance, we often find ourselves spiritually malnourished. Apathy, superficiality, evil… they surround us. But the Word sustains us.
Prayer: Lord, give me today the bread of Your Word. Sustain me step by step. Amen.
