Awakening Faith: Hope From the Global Churchਨਮੂਨਾ

Holding Truth with Grace
I was invited into a room I had no right to be in. Working in the capital in Atlanta, I had seen a few moments of significance, but nothing like this. Just before a floor vote, leaders from across the political aisle quietly filed in.
There were no cameras. No speeches. Just a sense of reverence. One by one, they stood, opened a Bible, read a passage of Scripture, and returned to their seats. When each had finished, one stood to pray. And then they walked out to vote.
Not all would vote the same. But in that room, they testified to one another that God’s Word had something to say. They carried conviction anchored not in politics but in truth. And they carried compassion seeking wisdom together under the authority of God’s Word.
It reminded me of John’s description of Jesus: “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory… full of grace and truth.” Jesus never separated the two. He never compromised truth for love, and He never abandoned love in the name of truth.
That’s the invitation for us: to live with conviction without losing compassion. To embody the Gospel in a way that reflects the heart of Christ with truth strong enough to stand, and grace deep enough to embrace.
Do you lean more toward truth without love, or love without truth? What would it look like for you to walk in both, as Jesus did?
