Let’s be honest—physical affection can easily take a back seat when life gets busy. Between kids, work, stress, or sheer exhaustion, it’s not always easy to keep passion alive. Sometimes, what once felt natural now feels awkward, distant, or even like another thing on the to-do list.

But God designed physical intimacy to be a gift in marriage—not a chore. It’s not just about meeting a physical need; it’s about strengthening emotional bonds, building safety, and reminding one another, “I’m still choosing you.”

Physical affection doesn’t have to start with the bedroom. It can be as simple as reaching for his hand while walking, hugging a little longer, or greeting him with a smile and kiss instead of a distracted glance. These small touches are powerful—they tell your husband, “I see you. I want you close.”

Rekindling intimacy doesn’t happen overnight, but little acts of physical connection can spark warmth again. Love grows stronger when affection is not withheld but freely given.
