Romans 8: Life in Christ by the Spiritਨਮੂਨਾ

DAY 10—Putting the Old Ways to Death
Romans 8:12–13 shifts from promise to practical living: “We have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it… If by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.” This isn’t about legal guilt; it’s about breaking free from habits that belong to the old humanity. Alone, we can’t crush sin’s pull, but the Spirit gives real power to say “no” and walk in new patterns. “Putting to death” means choosing, daily, to turn away from thoughts, habits, or attitudes that drain life. Each small surrender to the Spirit’s lead sets you more free to be who you truly are in Christ. Today, ask the Spirit to show you one old way that needs to go—and trust Him to help you walk in new life.
