Impulses for the Way: 30 Days on the Camino De Santiagoਨਮੂਨਾ

Shelter from the Storm
Welcome to this quiet space. Still your mind and ask God to speak to you and help you listen.
What is the weather outside like right now? How about the weather of your personal circumstances? Are you experiencing the sunshine of a new relationship, or the storms of a difficult medical condition, or the drizzle of unfulfilled expectations?
In today’s video, Barrett talks about how weather, especially violent weather, has a way of making us feel frail and out of control. Times like these prompt us to call out and remember God’s protection.
Reflect on Psalm 91:4-6:
“He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day” (NLT).
What words or images are standing out to you?
Read the passage again.
What terrors are coming your way right now? What arrows have your name on them? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what is taking your attention away from him and his care. Then, rest in God’s peace as you actively hold onto what he says … that he will never let you face it alone.

About this Plan

What if following Jesus was like walking the Camino de Santiago—dusty paths, vineyards, mountain passes, and ancient Roman roads? *Impulses for the Way* is a 30-day, video devotional filmed across 800km of this historic pilgrimage. Barrett Harkins, who lives in Santiago and serves pilgrims daily, shares stories from the trail, Scripture reflections, and prayers that explore restlessness, forgiveness, hope, and radical grace. Whether you’re on the Camino or navigating daily life, these short videos invite you to take the next step with Jesus—listening to the Spirit’s whispers and remembering this truth: you never walk alone.
