Social Justiceਨਮੂਨਾ

It's in our DNA
We all have within us a sense of what is right vs wrong, helpful vs harmful, encouraging vs mean… but where does sense this come from? As a Christian, I believe it comes directly from the source, our creator Himself.
Psalm 89:14 states ‘righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne’.
Deuteronomy 32:4 declares ‘… all his ways are just… upright and just is he’.
Just as our children in the natural are created in our image, share our DNA, inherit our mannerisms and behaviours (which isn’t always fun to see – am I right?), don’t we in turn inherit the characteristics of God our heavenly Father?
If God heeds the brokenhearted – so should we.
If God speaks truth in love – so should we.
If God reaches out to the sick and needy – so should we.
Ask Him to open your eyes to the needs of those around you. Is there someone you can help or defend today? Prayer is a powerful place to start but be open to saying yes to whatever He asks you to do, no matter how messy.
