Wise living requires learning what the Lord wants you to do with your life. It’s learnable, not a mystery. The wise life can be learned. Foolish living would be to live a life without purpose and direction, without a sense of mission defined by your King and His kingdom.

Have you learned what the Lord wants to do with your life? Have you discovered your life mission, life purpose? Is it tied to the mission of the king and His kingdom?

Facing the reality of death is usually not considered until later in life when senior adults begin to realize their lives are coming to an end. According to Elizabeth Kübler-Ross, facing the reality of death is key to living a meaningful life.

Think for a moment with the end in mind. Knowing you have limited days, how should you plan to use the time you have remaining to determine and complete your kingdom assignment? Finding your specific kingdom assignment and results provides a scenario that will produce high life output and creative performance for the sake of the kingdom. Selecting your life results is another way of saying no to many possibilities.

The Apostle Paul had a singular focus to live out the purpose for which Jesus selected him. He focused on one thing: to press toward the goal to win the prize for which he had been called. The good you might do becomes the enemy of better, and better is the enemy of the best. Light diffused is helpful, but focused light in the shape of a laser can cut steel and perform surgical procedures on the human body.

Once you decide on the kingdom results that are worth exchanging your life for and find your unique ability, you will establish purposeful relationships to do your kingdom assignment. Once you figure out what the Lord wants you to do and you focus your kingdom assignment, you will be in an enhanced position to use all you have to bring the kingdom near for people who need hope.
