Stop Living in Your Head: Capturing Those Dreams and Making Them a Realityਨਮੂਨਾ

No Choice but to Move Forward
"So don’t lose your bold, courageous faith, for you are destined for a great reward! [36] You need the strength of endurance to reveal the poetry of God’s will and then you receive the promise in full."
(Hebrews 10:35-36, TPT)
I’ve thought a great deal about those words spoken to me so clearly about living life in my thoughts instead of facing reality. It wasn’t a new habit for me. I’d spent my whole life doing just that. I was a voracious reader at a very young age. It gave me an avenue of escape from reality. I spent hours and hours daydreaming, which was an escape from the real world. Do you remember doing something similar? Are you still looking for ways to escape facing reality? I can’t fault you for that. I spent far too much of my life doing the same. However, I know for a fact you are no longer satisfied with living in a fantasy world. You wouldn’t be reading this message if you were.
Let’s discuss some ways to move out of our fantasy world and set up residency in the beautiful world the Lord has created for us. It may not look too good at times, with all the bad news reports and all the negativity surrounding us. But we don’t have to live in the insanity, remember? Not at all. Try activating some habits of moving fantasy images or thoughts into reality. Below are some suggestions to help you along the way:
·When you think of something you’d like to do and catch yourself daydreaming about it, stop right then and write it down. Pray into it, and use some bullet points just as I am doing now to list ideas the Lord will give you to make it happen.
·Start small. Seek counsel with a trusted friend who will support you and help you pray about taking steps to implement your ideas.
·You may want to serve in a food pantry or a homeless shelter, for example, rather than start your own ministry at first. It is a good way to “get your feet wet” before you commit to something. Although honestly, serving in either of these areas could be your ministry.
Those are just a few ways you can make a permanent move from procrastination to the realization of your dreams. Or, as the Holy Spirit so plainly put it, “Stop living in your head!” I am smiling broadly as I think of you going through what I did and how proud of you I am for taking steps to change it. You are so loved.
My Prayer for You
Father, search the heart and mind of those reading this word you placed with me. Let them see their passion is possible; You will take it and perfect it as they take the first step. Speak to them through Your Spirit to encourage and comfort them in the struggle to birth your plans for their lives. Give them success in every endeavor they place in your hands as they step out in faith. I ask this for each one of them in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Declaration / Affirmation (read aloud)
I will bind and rebuke every deceptive fantasy that opposes God. My thoughts and dreams will be creative ground to manifest His will in my life. I am well-equipped and anointed to fulfill every promise made by my Father. No longer will I entertain doubts and fears when prompted by the Holy Spirit to move out and take steps to bring dreams to life. This is my destiny, and I will do what it takes to obey the will of my Father.
