Psalm 2 - Reimagining Powerਨਮੂਨਾ

Psalm 2 - Reimagining Power

DAY 5 OF 5

Day 5: Taking Refuge

"Blessed are all who take refuge in him." (Psalm 2:12, NIV)

After all this talk about political upheaval and divine judgment, the psalm ends with the simplest invitation: come home to God. Take refuge.

Refuge means finding the secure place from which we can engage the world. When we know where our ultimate security lies, we can risk loving difficult people and working for justice in broken systems. God's refuge equips us rather than isolating us.

A tree with deep roots can weather any storm. Shallow roots mean the first strong wind knocks you over. Taking refuge in God is how we grow deep roots.

TODAY: When you feel overwhelmed by circumstances beyond your control, deliberately turn to God as your refuge. Let his stability anchor you.

GO DEEPER: Identify what you typically turn to for security when life gets chaotic. How is God's refuge different and better?

PRAYER: God, you are my refuge when the world goes crazy. Help me to run to you first, not as a last resort. From the safety of your presence, give me courage to love and serve in this broken world. Amen.
