DAY 3 OF 4

Pointing to Jesus 👉✝️🙌

After the healing, a huge crowd came running to Peter and John. Everyone was amazed.

But Peter didn’t take the credit. He used that moment to do one thing: Point to Jesus.

He reminded the crowd that Jesus was the one they had rejected—but God raised him from the dead.

And it wasn’t Peter’s power that healed the man. It was faith in Jesus' name that brought healing and hope.

Peter made it clear: "Don’t look at us—this was all Jesus."

📖 Observe

Read Acts 3:11–16

Start with this question:
👉 What stood out to you from this scene, and why?

As Peter speaks to the crowd, he is very clear about what (1) “you” – the people of Jerusalem – did, (2) what God did, (3) what was done through Jesus’ name, and (4) what “we” – Peter and John – are doing.

As you read, make a list of what each of the following people did:

  • “You” (the people of Jerusalem)
  • God
  • Jesus
  • “We” (Peter and John)

For example,

  • You handed him over to be killed (Acts 3:13)

💭 Interpret

Let’s dig deeper:

  • How does Peter explain the man’s healing to the crowd?
  • What do these verses reveal about who Jesus is?

🌱 Apply

Where do you see yourself in this story? Are you like the crowds – amazed and surprised by what you see God doing through other people? Or are you like Peter – sharing Jesus with those around you and bringing healing in Jesus’ name? Maybe you are somewhere in the middle.

✍️ Journal Prompt: How do you think God wants to work through you to reach a hurting and dying world with his love? Have you been holding back your witness out of fear or disobedience? What does God have to say to you right now?
