DAY 2 OF 4

A Healing in Jesus’ Name 🙌 🙌

One day, Peter and John went up to the temple. At the gate, they met a man who had never been able to walk. He asked them for money— but Peter gave him something far better than silver or gold.

Peter said: “In the name of Jesus Christ… walk.”

And the man jumped up! He started walking, running, and praising God. Everyone around was amazed.

Jesus healed people like this when he was on earth — and now, through the Holy Spirit, his followers were doing the same.

🎥 Watch: Acts 3:1–16

📖 Observe

Grab your journal or notes app. Start with this question:
👉 What stood out to you from this scene, and why?

Now read:
📌 Acts 3:1–10
📌 Isaiah 35:5–6
📌 Isaiah 61:1–2

As you read, note:

  • What was the man expecting? What did he receive instead?
  • What did Peter say before healing the man?
  • What words or ideas in the Isaiah passages show up in the story from Acts 3?

💭 Interpret

Let’s dig deeper:

  • What does this story tell us about how Jesus works through his disciples?
  • What role does the Holy Spirit play in this story?

🌱 Apply

God’s power brings transformation. Peter didn’t give what the man wanted—he gave what he needed. Healing in Jesus’ name.

The world only offers temporary solutions and satisfaction. God offers us so much more.

💡 Trust in Jesus’ power.
👐 Offer what you have.
🔥 Let the Holy Spirit work through you.

✍️ Journal Prompt: How are you like the beggar? What solutions have you been asking for and waiting on? What might God be waiting to offer you instead?

How can you be like Peter? Who around you needs a touch from God? How can you reach out to them with the power of Jesus’ name?
