SERENITY

We are promised serenity through Jesus, even during chaotic lives. Jesus wants to gift you peace. Can you ask Him for it today? (John 14:27, John 16:33, Romans 15:13) God literally wants to guard you with His Peace! (Phil. 4:7)

The key here is "letting" God rule your heart and being thankful in all situations and circumstances. (Col. 3:15) It's challenging to be thankful at all times, yet we are instructed to be. God wouldn't ask us to do something that He's not willing to equip us to accomplish.

If I had 2024 to do over again, I just wouldn't. Survival mode was my way of living for quite some time as I muddled through the heavy layers of grief.

I can say with gladness now, however, that I would take nothing for what God has done in and through me out of it all. It has all shaped me into who I am now becoming in Christ. This couldn't have happened without submission in trust and faith, which was necessary for Him to work. I most likely would not have changed in the areas that desperately needed change, had I not gone through such sorrow. I will never be the same, but there is good in that. (Rom. 8:28)

I am thankful today for God's ability to see beyond what I am capable of seeing to know precisely what I need and when I need it, even if it causes pain—most things worth having come with a cost, sometimes a very high cost. Look at the ultimate price that Jesus paid for us!

Friends, Jesus didn't go through what He did for us so that we would continue to live in a state of survival. He came to set you FREE! Thoroughly, and utterly free indeed! (John 8:36)

God has the keys to daily serenity and to make beauty out of the ashes of life, even if you created those ashes yourself. Destroy any thoughts that go against the knowledge of Christ, and purpose yourself to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ! (2 Cor. 10:5) This will bring serenity to your heart, mind, and spirit! You have the power through Christ to unleash the keys available to you that unlock the door that has you trapped inside that room of survival mode!

Thank You, God, for everything that shapes me into what YOU want that I may best serve you and walk in daily peace.
