The Thief of Everythingਨਮੂਨਾ

The Thief of Everything

DAY 8 OF 15

Where do you see God in the world around you? What parts of creation reflect His presence, character, and heart to you? For some people, it’s the freshness of a recent rain or the bloom of fresh flowers. For others, it’s the darkness of a night sky illuminated by the moon and stars. For many, it’s the feeling of sun on their face each morning or the view of a sunset each night. Whatever it is that speaks to you in creation, remember that it’s so much more than just something beautiful to notice or admire. It’s a part of God’s intentional creation. Just like every part of the natural world, you are a part of God’s deliberate creation. You were made on purpose by a God who loves you so much that He put careful thought and intention into making you who you uniquely are. Because of that, just like the beauty in nature is worth admiration, you are worth celebration.

Instead of letting comparison steal your focus, choose to celebrate the intricate and intentional way God made you. To do that, start a gratitude list! Keep the focus of your list on celebrating all the good things about who you are and how God made you. Each time you write something down, stop and celebrate not just this quality in you but also the God who intentionally designed that to be part of who you are.

About this Plan

The Thief of Everything

It’s easy to get caught up in comparison. We compare our thoughts, words, actions, relationships, and even our faith. Chances are, if we’re honest, we’d admit that comparison makes us feel a lot worse. It has the potential to steal our joy, self-image, peace, success, and faith. That’s because comparison is a thief. As we’ll see in this series, we’ll look at the secret to breaking the cycle of comparison.
