Power On!

DAY 8 OF 42

As one woman in our church journeyed through infertility, it was the stories of women like Sarah and Hannah that she clung to - women who had waited years, faced impossible obstacles, and yet by God's power, received the very thing they longed for. In their waiting, it must have seemed futile (laughable). In their struggle, hope must have felt distant. And yet, God delivered.

But this story isn't just for women, or for those waiting for children. It is for all of us. We all face circumstances that feel insurmountable; seasons where we can't see how God's promises could possibly come to pass.

But God is a way maker.

If we believe God is truly God, then we must believe He is above our circumstances. He is not limited by time, by biology, by human logic, or by what seems possible. When Sarah laughed at God's promise, it wasn't just a laugh of disbelief - it was a laugh of limitation, a response to the reality she saw in front of her. And yet, God was not bound by that reality. Despite her old age, despite her doubt, despite all the logical reasons why it shouldn't happen, God made a way.

Prayer:

Lord and Heavenly Father, thank You that You are a way maker. Thank You that Your plans always come to pass, even when we struggle to see how. In our waiting, in our doubt, and in our discouragement, help us to trust You. Give us faith and patience to hold onto Your promises knowing that You are always faithful. Amen.

About this Plan

Power On!

With Jesus, we want to go from "standing by" to stepping out! Through these readings, experience stories of when God led people to turn "on" their spiritual power and saw the Holy Spirit move through them. God is ready to do miracles on Earth, but we can miss out on what He is ready to do by staying in the boat like Peter nearly did. These Scriptures will encourage you to step out of the boat and see the Power of the Holy Spirit move!
