Pathways to Purpose

DAY 28 OF 49

There are times in life that we could think of our lives like a well-worn journal—pages filled with stories, scribbles, messes, and memories. Some pages are joyful, others tear-stained. Maybe there are whole sections where you wish you could tear out or rewrite. But when we read Psalm 103:2–4, we are reminded that God is the one holding the pen.

He’s not just reading our story—He is redeeming it.

He forgives all our sins, turning the pages we thought were ruined into testimonies of grace. He heals the wounds we have tried to cover up. Where we have written “failure” or “shame,” He gently crosses it out and writes “forgiven.”

“Loved.”

“Daughter.”

“Son.”

“Mine.”

He’s not just editing our story—He’s crowning it with love and tender mercies. And if you look back at each season, the more you will see His fingerprints on every page, even the ones we have tried to hide.

Take some time to reflect on the good things God has done for you. Take some time to go through your past seasons and notice – in hindsight – his hand working in the background. Now spend some time thanking the Lord and praising Him, being grateful for His redeeming nature and new mercies over your life.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for loving me when I thought I was unlovable, for showing me mercy when I was undeserving, and for setting me free. You are worthy of all my praise. Today I choose to honour You with my thoughts, my conversations and my actions. Amen.
