How to Be a Discipleਨਮੂਨਾ

I’m not big on titles. I never encourage people to call me "pastor"; even when I was a full-time worship pastor, I insisted people just call me "Cameron." I don’t even allow my nephews to call me uncle because it makes me feel old.🤣 However, if I ever had to choose a title, it’d be "disciple Cameron" because disciple means:
a person who believes in the ideas and principles of someone famous and tries to live the way that person does or did – Cambridge Dictionary
Being a disciple is more than just learning; it means living out the teachings to the point of becoming like the teacher:
The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher. – Luke 6:40
I’ve had many teachers, some of whom taught me invaluable life lessons. But there is only one whom I aim to model my entire life after: Jesus!
Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. – Ephesians 5:1-2
Jesus fully embodied what He taught, including love, forgiveness, compassion, and honesty. This is evident in every story of the Gospels.
I know you are already a student of Christ, reading Chamatkar Every Day to grow each day in knowing Him. But are you willing to be a disciple and to start becoming like Him? This is not a decision you should take lightly because it will transform your entire life!
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.” – Luke 9:23-24
Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
