Discernmentਨਮੂਨਾ

Let God lead
Research suggests that we make an average of between 33,000 to 35,000 conscious and subconscious decisions every day. This includes decisions about what we’ll eat or drink, what we’ll wear, or what we’ll say. This also includes large impactful decisions such as whether we’ll accept a job or enter a relationship.
We live in a world where the line between right and wrong is becoming more blurred, and it can be challenging to distinguish which direction is the right one, especially when those decisions impact our lives and the lives of those around us. But one way we can be confident about what decisions we make is to allow God to lead, direct and influence our decisions.
Hebrews 4:12 tells us that God’s Word is living and active. This means that we can seek wisdom for any situation in God’s Word and be confident that we can find direction and leading. We can seek the Holy Spirit through prayer for discernment to know if the decision we’re making is what God wants for us, or whether it’s our own desire. When we’re faced with uncertainty about a decision or with an unknown, we can stop in the moment and pray for help to know what to do, trusting that the Holy Spirit is willing and able to lead and guide us in Jesus’ name.
God gives us discernment and wisdom to do what is right and what is His will. As we go about our day, let’s seek His discernment to do what is best and what glorifies Him.

About this Plan

Discernment is defined as the ability to judge well; to be able to tell things apart. Today, the line between truth and fiction is becoming harder to discern but God’s Word promises us that if we have the mind of Christ, we will be able to understand and discern the things of the Spirit; the Truth. Pray for understanding as you follow along with this 5-day plan.
