Scripture:

2 Kings 4:3-4 – "Elisha said, ‘Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.’"

Description:

We can often make the mistake of waiting for external signs before we start trusting God and taking action. Are you waiting for the right people to recognise your gift and offer you a platform? Or are you listening for the Holy Spirit's instruction to take steps towards what He has called you to do?

Elisha didn’t just encourage the widow; he gave her specific instructions. The miracle depended on her obedience. Often, the Holy Spirit gives us divine strategies, but we hesitate. Action is key. Faith isn’t just believing—it’s stepping forward in obedience.

You have oil. What does God want you to do with it? His plan may look different than what you imagine. So, why not ask Him to give you His strategy? Then take just one step towards it. You will be empowered once you start taking action.

Application:

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you an area where you need to take action. Write down a small step you can take today toward obedience in that area.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, help me not just to hear Your instructions but to act on them. Give me faith to move when You speak, even when it doesn’t make sense. I trust that my obedience will unlock miracles. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
