EquipHer Vol. 15: "Beyond the Title and Position"ਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 2 – Redefining Success: Who Sets the Standard?
If God is the author of our story, He is also the One who defines what success looks like for us. As long as we equate success with what we achieve—prestigious titles, high salaries, recognition—we will continue chasing something unstable, and ultimately, unfulfilling.
In Matthew 6:20 we read: “Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.” Success is not about accumulating results but about building something that outlasts us. The real question is: Are we investing in our spiritual growth and the impact we leave on others, or are we seeking validation in things that are temporary?
God measures success by our faithfulness, obedience, and willingness to stay aligned with His will—not just by visible outcomes. Scripture tells us, “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” (Matthew 20:26) In God’s Kingdom, promotion doesn’t come from a title but from our willingness to serve and live according to His purpose. When we stop chasing the world’s approval and start focusing on bearing fruit for the Kingdom, our lives take on a deeper and more fulfilling role than we could possibly imagine.
Practical Steps:
- Make a list of practical ways you can invest in “treasures in heaven” by serving others and creating a lasting impact.
- Write down a key phrase to remind yourself daily that your worth is not found in a title but in your identity in Christ.
Prayer: Lord, help me see success the way You see it. I want to be faithful to Your calling rather than chasing standards that are not from You. Teach me to live with the assurance that my worth is not in my titles or roles but in my identity in Christ. Amen.
