Water Baptismਨਮੂਨਾ

When Should Baptism Take Place?
"As they went along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, ‘See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?’" Acts 8:36 (ESV).
"And he was baptized at once, he and all his family." Acts 16:33 (ESV).
In the New Testament, water baptism often occurred immediately after a person heard the gospel and had accepted Jesus as Lord. The Ethiopian eunuch was baptized right after hearing the gospel in Acts 8:36, and the Philippian jailer and his household were baptized soon after their conversion in Acts 16:33. There is no reason to delay this act of obedience once you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.
If you have put your faith in Jesus, consider moving forward with water baptism. If you have already been water baptized, think about how you can encourage others to take this step.
Prayer: Father God, Thank You for the examples of immediate obedience to baptism in the Bible. Help me not to delay in following Your commands. May I act in faith and encourage others to do the same. In Jesus name, Amen.
