Day 1 - Introduction To The Fatherless Journey!

Dear Friend,

Welcome to what I call the Fatherless Mountain. Chances are, you didn’t choose to be here. You didn’t ask for this journey. Something—some circumstance outside of your control—brought you to this place in life.

Becoming fatherless, no matter how old you were when it happened, can feel like someone strapped a heavy backpack filled with bricks onto your back and told you to start climbing. You weren’t given a map. There was no timeline, no clear path forward, and often, not much help along the way.

Now here you are, standing at the base of the mountain. You might feel alone, staring up at something that seems too big to overcome, wondering, How in the world am I going to climb this?

Here’s the good news: you don’t have to climb it alone. This devotional was created to walk with you on your personal journey. There are real struggles you’ve faced—or will face—because of fatherlessness, and it’s time to address them head-on. You need preparation, because the climb won’t be easy. It won’t always be enjoyable. But with guidance, truth, and encouragement from God’s Word, you can make it.

I know, because I’ve done it. I’ve faced the mountain myself, and I’ve met others who’ve climbed it, too. Through my personal experience and conversations with many others, I’ve identified key challenges that often weigh fatherless young men down. Over the next 30 days, we’ll work through those issues together.

It all comes down to choices.

Right now, as you stand at the base of your own fatherless mountain, two choices lie before you:

1. You can give up, stay where you are, and allow this situation to define and defeat you for the rest of your life.
   OR
2. You can start climbing—one step at a time—and, with God’s help, conquer this mountain and move forward into a life of purpose and victory.

The choice is yours. But I’m here to tell you: you can do this.
