Elevate: Raising the Bar for Conversations About Consentਨਮੂਨਾ

Have you been let down by someone? Maybe a friend shared one of your secrets, or someone in your life took advantage of your friendship. No matter how it happens, the reality is that at some point people will let us down. And when they do, we can feel disrespected, unloved, and undervalued.
But here, we’re reminded that God never lets us down. That doesn’t take away from the hurt we still feel from those situations, but we can be sure God will never hurt us, never break our trust, and most importantly, never leave us. God’s presence remains the same—unchanging and unwavering, no matter our circumstances and that is something that will never disappoint. We can count on it. Jesus coming to Earth in the first place was to make sure we knew this message: God is with us. Today, take a moment to remember that even when other people let you down, you can be confident God never will.

About this Plan

There are a lot of topics spinning around culture today: especially when it comes to relationships and consent. We’ll dive into the conversation about how we treat one another. Instead of focusing on the bare minimum of consent, we’ll aim for something more. We’ll embrace the elevated standard—God’s standard—of honor and respect. It’s time to raise the bar for conversations about how we treat one another.
