Have you ever heard the saying, "Follow your heart?" What if the Bible doesn't say to follow your heart but to follow wisdom, too? You might wonder, what is wisdom, anyway? Proverbs, one of the books of the Bible, says wisdom is a deep well of understanding. We can always ask God to give us wisdom if we feel unsure or need direction.
The Bible is full of stories where people ask God for wisdom and direction. The start to uncovering true wisdom begins with prayer. When we're unsure what our thoughts and feelings might mean or how to make the best choices, the Bible helps us learn what's true from what's not. When we seek the wisdom in the Bible, we also have access to peace, rest, and hope for the future.
How can you seek Biblical wisdom this week?
