Jonah 3 Following Jesus When You’d Rather Run Awayਨਮੂਨਾ

Turn Around
Some of life’s greatest moments happen when you turn around. When you turn around on your wedding day and see your spouse. When you turn around to see the doctor walking in with your new baby. When you turn around the corner at the top of a hike to see the gorgeous view from the top of the mountain.
Repentance isn't negative, not scary, not radical. It is turning into something more beautiful. It’s turning, so you can see your Savior’s face. Like Peter turning and seeing Jesus on the shore.
If you are trekking off course today, turn around to your Savior. Lock eyes with Jesus today. See that He is greater. Believe that He is better. Discover that His love goes deeper. That His mercy stretches wider.
Pray a prayer of repentance today. Whatever you are wrapped up in, that you feel caught in, stuck in, that is keeping you from Jesus today–ask God to search your heart and show you any grievous ways within you that are keeping you from Him. Ask Him to make His Word the most important to you; that you would start to read His Word and hide it deep in your heart so that you might not sin against God.
