Mind and Heart

Have you ever wished you could read somebody’s thoughts? How fascinating would it be to know what other people are really thinking? Or what if you could have access to everybody’s Amazon account details?! Did you know that God searches the minds and hearts of man? He knows every thought you've ever had and knows your deepest, darkest secrets. Be honest, how does that make you feel? Ashamed? Fearful?

God is a good Father who knows everything about us and yet still loves us unconditionally. He searches our minds and hearts, and that should fill us with peace and assurance but also reverence. You can’t hide anything from Him - and that’s a good thing! Is your heart upright and honourable? Are your thoughts pure and good before God? Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a man thinks, so he is...” Your thoughts will determine the course of your life, and your heart is the compass that directs you.

GO DEEP: Invite God to search your mind and your heart. Is there anything that shouldn't be there? Ask Him to speak into those areas.

BE BOLD: Who needs to hear this? Who could you share it with?
