I Have Questions: Body Imageਨਮੂਨਾ

So many of us talk to ourselves in a way that we’d never speak to other people. We’d never say to someone else: “You look awful today,” or “You’re a disaster.”
If we’re not aware of how we speak to ourselves, negative self-talk can quickly turn into a bad habit.
In a letter the apostle Paul wrote to some people he loved deeply, he said:
“… one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable… (Philippians 4:8 NLT).
What if you only said “honorable” and “praiseworthy” words and thought “excellent” and “lovely” thoughts about yourself?
Write down honorable, lovely, and admirable things you can think of and say to yourself.

About this Plan

Have you ever noticed how much attention the human body gets? We’re asking: “Why can’t I stop thinking about my body?” Since God created our bodies, this question has the potential to impact the way we see ourselves and the way we see God. This week we’ll discuss the topic of body image together, and we’ll find a perspective that shows us just how key kindness can be.
