The Road Less Traveled - a Lent Journey for Teensਨਮੂਨਾ

Mercy for Myself
Mercy helps us to share the blessings we have received, but we cannot give what we do not have. We cannot share out of a place of lack. That is why it is important to make sure you care for yourself. Each of us is like a cup. When it overflows with water, it needs refilling. We need a balance of inflow and outflow. Nothing can flow out of an empty cup. This is why sometimes you need to take a step back to look at your water levels and make sure you have enough to share.
Exercise:
When you see water today, think about your cup. Take a moment to make sure it is full and not running on empty.
Prayer:
“Jesus, give me the grace to show mercy to my family and friends.”

About this Plan

Lent is where we walk with Jesus for 40 days. We are going to look at the Beatitudes of Jesus. These are sayings from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. We live in a world filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. The beatitudes invite us to live in a new way in this world of ours. Together, we are going to explore new ways to live life.
