The Road Less Traveled - a Lent Journey for Teensਨਮੂਨਾ

Mercy and Becoming Aware
Do you know the line, “break my heart for what breaks yours” from the song Hosanna by Hillsong?
If you don’t, give it a listen today. If you do - have you ever listened to the lyrics attentively? This song invites us to get to know the heart of Jesus. His heart is full of mercy.
To be merciful, I need to look past my own needs and pay attention to the needs of others to reflect God’s heart to my family, friends, and strangers.
Exercise:
Think about your week. Where did you come into contact with someone who had a physical, emotional, or spiritual need? How did it make your heart feel? Speak to God about this.
Prayer:
“Jesus, give me the grace to show mercy to my family and friends.”

About this Plan

Lent is where we walk with Jesus for 40 days. We are going to look at the Beatitudes of Jesus. These are sayings from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. We live in a world filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. The beatitudes invite us to live in a new way in this world of ours. Together, we are going to explore new ways to live life.
