Love God Greatly - Truth Over Liesਨਮੂਨਾ

Read: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18; Proverbs 31:30; Psalm 39:4
SOAP: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
On average, an American woman spends $313 per month on her appearance. However, this high price of vanity does not guarantee happiness. Proverbs 31:30 tells us that our beauty fades. We cannot trust in it to bring us everlasting joy.
The Lord desires for us to look to Him to understand our true beauty and value. Even though our physical beauty may fade over time, our faith can increase. Our aim should not be for physical perfection, but rather to become more like Christ.
Do you feel you spend more time on your physical appearance or your spiritual development?
Father God, thank You for how You continue to teach me Your truth and Your ways. Help me to not become consumed with my outward appearance, but rather help me concern myself with matters of Your kingdom. Help me learn from Jesus’ example. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

In this study we will expose one lie a day and combat it with God’s truth. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, we will purposefully target thirty of the most common lies many women find themselves believing, lies like: You’re not enough. You can’t change. You aren’t loved. Your failures define you. God won’t forgive you for that… As God’s Word shines bright, exposing the falsehood found in each lie, our prayer is that the power of God’s truth will transform your life!
