Love God Greatly - Truth Over Liesਨਮੂਨਾ

Read: Matthew 6:19-21; Luke 12:15; Ecclesiastes 3:11
SOAP: Matthew 6:19-21
Do you own a collection of any kind? You can see photos of the world’s largest collections of bagpipes, autographed baseballs, and DVDs online. Ironically, the owner of the world’s largest DVD collection complains that he can never find anything to watch!
We think possessions will bring happiness. Retail therapy comforts our tears. Yet, the items we accumulate do not fill our spiritual void. Jesus taught on maintaining a proper perspective of possessions. Ultimately, our wealth and our lives belong to God. We cannot take what we own with us into eternity. Therefore, putting all our time, resources, and energy into material things is fruitless. How we manage the resources God gives us shows where our priorities and affections lie.
How are you currently using your possessions to glorify God? Is there anything in your life you need to declutter to make more room for Jesus?
Father God, thank You for being a good and gracious God who is the giver of all good things. Help me to realize that everything I have is a gift from You. Lord, help me to use what I have to help others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

In this study we will expose one lie a day and combat it with God’s truth. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, we will purposefully target thirty of the most common lies many women find themselves believing, lies like: You’re not enough. You can’t change. You aren’t loved. Your failures define you. God won’t forgive you for that… As God’s Word shines bright, exposing the falsehood found in each lie, our prayer is that the power of God’s truth will transform your life!
