Next to Godliness

To determine if you have a messy home, consider what happens when you get a text that an unexpected guest is five minutes away. Even though you and your kids are highly trained mess-hider ninjas, the visitor will spot the peanut butter smears on the cabinets and the overflowing cat box, not to mention the bathtub so dirty you have to wear flip-flops to take a shower.

Sweet Spoonful: Keeping a clean house is as difficult as living a sanctified life before God. We can’t hide our misses or messes or sins from our loving God, but he forgives us when we “come clean.”

I don’t want to try to hide my misses and my messes anymore. I repent, Lord Jesus, and I know that my sins are washed clean by your blood.
